Dr. Zemke is a native of Wisconsin where he attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. After completion he attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, where he received his doctorate in 2012 and graduated in the top of his class. He was a member of both the Beta Sigma Kappa and Tomb and Key honor societies for his academic excellence.While, in school he was also recognized with multiple awards for his clinical excellence. Dr. Zemke also went on complete a post-doctorate residency in ocular disease management as well as low vision rehabilitation.
Throughout his professional career Dr. Zemke has volunteered his services to multiple organizations including the Easter Seals and the Special Olympics. He has also had research published through the European Neuro-ophthalmology Society and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.Dr. Zemke is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
In his free time Dr. Zemke enjoys hiking, trail running, biking and camping.
